Pool Enclosures
New screen enclosures and rescreening built for Florida bugs, debris and hurricane-season wind.
Schedule An AppointmentIn Central Florida a screen enclosure isn’t a luxury. It’s how the pool gets used year-round. It keeps out mosquitoes, leaves, oak pollen and lizards, shades the water, and makes the whole pool area feel like another room of the house.
Whether you need a brand-new enclosure, a rescreen of a tired one, or repairs after a storm, we’ll match the style to your home and build it to current Florida wind-load code.
Why homeowners enclose their pool
- Far fewer bugs: enjoy the pool at dusk without getting eaten alive
- Much less debris in the water, which means less cleaning and lower chemical costs
- Shade and lower water temperatures in peak summer; less evaporation
- Can count toward Florida’s residential pool barrier requirement when properly built with compliant doors
- A protected outdoor living space for furniture, a kitchen or a lanai

Signs it’s time to rescreen
- Tears, holes or sagging panels
- Screen that’s faded, brittle or chalky to the touch
- Loose or missing splines and kick-plates
- Storm damage or bent members
Rescreening an existing frame is usually a 1–2 day job and refreshes the whole look.
Enclosure styles
| Style | Look & best fit |
|---|---|
| Mansard | Flat top with sloped sides. The most common Florida style, clean and versatile. |
| Gable (A-frame) | Peaked roof. Taller, open feel; matches gable-roof homes. |
| Dome | Curved, high-arched roof. Dramatic and roomy over large pools. |
| Hip roof | Slopes on all sides. Blends with hip-roof homes, sheds wind well. |
| Flat roof | Low profile, modern. Good where height is limited. |
| Two-story | Tall enclosure for two-story homes or upper balconies. |
| Picture window / panoramic | Fewer horizontal members at eye level, for unobstructed views of a lake or golf course. |
What drives the cost
Size: the pool plus the deck area you cover. A height of 7–8 ft or more lets you walk comfortably around the pool. Shape and roof style: domes, gables and two-story frames use more material. Materials: aluminum frame gauge and color, and screen type. Site work and permitting: footers, attachment to the house and engineering. We give you a clear, itemized quote.
Screen options
Standard pool-and-patio screen is the everyday choice. Upgrades include heavier, more tear-resistant screen; solar or privacy screen that cuts sun and glare; no-see-um screen with a tighter weave; and pet-resistant screen on lower panels.
Built for hurricanes
New enclosures are engineered to Florida Building Code wind-load requirements for your area. That means proper footers, anchoring and fastening. In a severe storm, screen panels are designed to release before the frame fails, so a rescreen is often all that’s needed afterward. Older frames that predate current code are worth an inspection.
Will it make the area too dark?
Standard screen reduces sunlight only modestly. The pool area stays bright, just with less glare and heat. If you want more shade, solar screen on the sunniest sides is an easy upgrade.

Frequently asked questions
Does a new enclosure need a permit?
Yes, most new enclosures do. We handle engineering and permitting.
Can an enclosure be added to my existing pool?
Yes. Enclosures can be added to most existing pools and decks.
How long does rescreening take?
Typically 1–2 days for most homes.
Can it withstand a hurricane?
New enclosures are built to Florida’s wind-load code. In extreme storms, screens are designed to give way before the frame does.
Does it count as a pool barrier?
A properly built enclosure with self-closing, self-latching doors can be part of a compliant barrier. We’ll make sure yours is.
